The Axiom Programme
Leadership development for disabled people

'Enhancing self-belief and capacity to be an authentic, worthy leader, whilst demonstrating this truth to others'
For organisations to thrive, they need more diverse representation in leadership and management roles, yet people with disabilities and long term health conditions are still greatly under-represented in such roles. This unique, 5-month programme provides an accelerated way to prepare your future leaders, with disabilities, for the road ahead.

Through a range of learning methods, participants develop compassionate leadership behaviours (Atkins and Parker 2012) with a focus on relationship and communication development. Research shows that compassionate leadership results in more engaged and motivated staff, with higher levels of wellbeing (West, 2021) .
The Axiom Programme consists of: A programme launch and gateway development audit; individual coaching and mentoring sessions; 6 x workshops covering: Self Awareness, Resilience and Wellbeing; Authenticity; Trust, Delegation and Team Resilience; Inclusivity; Vision, Stakeholders & Service Resilience; Collaboration. As part of a small, select peer group, each participant will focus on some of the more challenging aspects of leadership, helping each other gain insights and new ideas to take forward. Participants also complete an average of 2.5 hours distance learning per week and will receive comprehensive programme resources and support.
